Kerry was born in Lockwood, MO, and grew up there. He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1966, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
He received a Doctor of dental surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1970; and a diploma in orthodontics in 1975. From 1970 to 1973, he worked as a general dentist in Ft. Carson, CO. From 1975 to 1993, he served as a U.S. Army Dental Corps, Clinical orthodontist, and served as Chief of Orthodontics in Frankfurt, West Germany; Ft.
Knox, KY, Vicenza, Italy; Ft. Campbell, KY; and Seoul, Korea. In 1991, he became a Colonel in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. Kerry received the Meritorious Service Medal in 1982, the Meritorious Service Medal (first oak leaf cluster) in 1985, the Order of Medical Merit in 1988, and the Meritorious Service Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster in 1991.
He also received the Army Commendation Medal in 1993. He was certified by the Kansas State Dental License, the Missouri State Dental License, and the Missouri State Orthodontic Specialty Board. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Phi Kappa Phi, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He was a member of the American Association of Orthodontist, Military Association of Orthodontists and the 38th Parallel Dental Society. He was also a member of the University of Missouri Tiger Club of KC, Church of the Resurrection, Pouring from the Heart Steering Committee, Tweed Society Orthodontic Study Club and the UMKC School Dentistry Alumni Association.
Kerry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna of Leawood, KS; daughters, Kristen Kaelke, serving as an officer in the U.S. Army i in Korea, and Kindel Kaelke, currently attending Georgia Institute of Technology; brother, Karlos Kaelke, MO, and sister, Karen Matthews, Ft. He was Traffic Manager for ScoularBishop Grain Co. until 1972, then retired in 1984 as a Genealogy Research Clerk at the Mid-Continent Public Library's North Branch in Independence. He loved his church, family, traveling, reading, gardening and 1 square-dancing.

Jack served in the Army Air Corp during World War Il. His business career was devoted to the J.H. Mackay Electric a business established by his father in 1936. He served as President for many years until his retirement. Jack was a former member of Mission Hills Country Club, Kansas City Club, Blue Hills Country Club and the Garden of the Gods.
Jack will be fondly remembered as the gentleman who met his daughters for lunch every Tuesday, first at the Kansas City Club and in later years at the Mission Hills Country Club. Jack is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kelley Mackay; a son, John Hamilton Mackay and his wife, Patty; daughters, Kathleen Mackay Twyman and her husbnad, Tom, Marcia. Duane J. Mann, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2002, following a lengthy illness. DJ "Pete" Mann was born June 6, 1930, in Onawa, IA, the son of Donald and Ethel Mann. He moved to Neosho three years ago from the Kansas City area. He was a World War Il veteran. Gene and Betty sided in Ottawa, KS, with their four children. The family moved to Overland Park KS, where Gene became a shoe department manager. Gene was remarried to Jackie, upon Betty's passing, in 1976. Together they managed several businesses, the last being "Gene and Jackie's" on Womall in Kansas City, MO.
Jackie passed in 1995. Gene had been sick for a long time and fought a continuous good fight until his final loss to cancer. His family and children were his heart and soul and he cherished his 22 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Mary Helen was the daughter of Ann Frances (Marrs) and Willard Oliver Pemberton. She spent most of her life in the Kansas City area, where she was employed by before retirement in the mid '70s. Mary Helen also served with the WAC's during WWII with a tour of duty in Europe, and she spent time in Bogata, Columbia, Mexico City, working for the U.S. Embassy. Mary Helen was married to Lester Wright Belcher (deceased) in 1960.
She was survived by her brother, Willard Oliver Pemberton Jr. of Independence, MO, and six children, Judy Beaver, Garland Belcher, Harold Belcher, Madlyn Brewka, Dan Belcher and Marilyn Yokum. Effie was born on April 7, 1911, in Butler, NE, the daughter of Benjamin and Sadie Rhoades. On July 27, 1932, Effie was united in marriage to Guy Ollie Thomas.
To this union, four children were born: Harlin Ray, Hershel Eugene, Raymond Guy and Darlene Carol. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy, in 1989; two brothers, Floyd and Walter; a sister, Leauretta; and two great-great-grandchildren. After the passing of her husband, Effie continued to make her home in Appleton City, MO, where she was an active member of the Assembly of God Church. She was a kind and loving wife and mother who loved having her family around her. WALLOWER Friends across the country will be thankful for the life of Barbara Wallower, Overland Park, who died peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2002, after a feisty stand against lung cancer. Her memorial service will be held at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Kansas City, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. Barbara had a joyous, sometimes tough and never dull life. Born in Merkel, TX, in 1927, she spent her school years in Et Paso before moving to Dallas and later Colorado, where she married Ted Wallower.
Her two children, Becky and Rusty, were born there. The family later. moved to Texas, and Kansas City. While raising her children almost singlehandedly, Barbara's career in advertising spanned over 40 years. In Kansas City, she worked for Macy's and, up to 2000, for House of Lloyd, where she delighted in the wonderful friends made on her many trips to four continents.
Her energy was unbounded, her love of life insatiable, and her care for her family and friends unending. Bright, colorful, fun, unforgettable, one of a kind, she will be missed. She is survived by her daughter, Becky; daughter-in-law, Debbie; sister, Sue Williams; nieces and nephews; and her devoted puppies, Marilyn and Clark. "Joe" Wally, 85, died on July 13, 2002, at Liberty Hospital. Joseph was born in Chicago, IL, on July 14, 1916. Joe married the love of his life, Eleanore Anderson in Chicago on September 2, 1939. During World War Il, Joe was a member of the Army Air Corps, serving as a B-29 crew chief on Guam. He moved to the Kansas City area in the 1950s as a district passenger agent for the Rock Island Railroad.
In 1969, he founded the "New Sun" Newspapers, a Northland paper that grew into "The Clay County Sun," which he published until 1988. Joe retired in 1992 as executive director of the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce. The couple were longtime members of the First Presbyterian Church in Liberty. Generous with his time and resources, Joe was involved with the founding of the Fellowship of the Concerned, Gladfest, The Gladstone Teacher's Memorial and The Desert Storm Salute. Joe was a member and past president of many civic clubs and business organizations.
He received the Civic Leadership Award from the City of Liberty, the Look North Award, was named a Paul Harris Fellow and was the recipient of many other awards and recognitions for civic and cultural contributions in the Northland. Surviving are: Eleanore, his wife of nearly 63 years; brother, Bob and wife Claire Wally of Illinois; daughter, Diane and husband Wayne Tompkins, daughter, Pat and husband, Floyd Mulsoff; daughter, Gail and husband Harry Dugdale; daughter, Nancy and husband David Short; grandchildren, Ben and wife Yumiko Tompkins, Madeline Tompkins, Alex Mulsoff, Joey and wife Ann Douglas, Joshua and wife Erica Dugdale, Jessica Short and Anna Short; great-grandchildren, Jordan Dugdale, Josh Dugdale and Haru Tompkins.
