Transplant Nephrologist Opportunity

Greenville, SC

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a BC Nephrologist to join a growing team. Training or experience in transplant preferred.

Ideal Candidate:

• Will have completed a nephrology fellowship and have either completed an AST accredited transplant nephrology fellowship and/or have 3+ years' experience practicing within a kidney transplant program.
• Be competent in all 3 phases of transplant management (e.g., pretransplant evaluation, transplant hospitalization management, and post-transplant follow-up)
• Meet UNOS criteria as pancreas transplant program director (preferred but not essential)

• Freestanding kidney transplant program in a desirable community with no competing transplant center for over 100 miles
• Excellent support from community nephrologists
• UNOS approved in the fall 2021 with over 1200 potential kidney transplant recipients already referred
• Quality multidisciplinary staff of over 10 individuals already in place
• Plans for growth including satellite clinics and multiorgan transplant capability
• Share call with existing kidney transplant program director 50/50
• Academic appointment to University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville with teaching and research opportunities available
